Experiment Two: Porosity Lens


Crysis makes explosions. It makes them well. Porosity Lenses, however, don't seem to be under any of the menus. So I started this assignment by thinking of what useful elements already existed in Crysis, and how I could build upon them. I immediately though the footprints your character makes in the sand when they walked, and this concept was reinforced by a video I saw online of a modification that made the ground glow where you stood. After a little bit of looking around, I saw that the ripple effects when you walked through shallow water were excellent examples of simple porosity lenses.
